What would my life be like if I only chose to spend time with people who live their lives in a way that resonates with me? with people who are not overly cynical? with people who deal with their problems head on instead of always choosing the path of least resistance? with people who are self-aware instead of sticking their head in the sand?

Life is all about making choices and, clearly, you have been able, at a fairly young age, to make some very important decisions. Good for you. Many of us spend most of our years being unable to set limits with outselves and spend a great deal of time being unhappy.
